What is Reverse PartsTM?
Reverse PartsTM is the Scan data
capture and optimization of
the data
into a watertight mesh or into a usable Cad model for use in downstream
applications such as: 3D modeling, rapid prototyping, FEA/CFD,
manufacturing, marketing or inspection, and other uses. All at an
affordable cost.
The Reverse PartsTM process is
simple, accurate and fast.
1. Scan a part using a white light or laser scanner
2. Determine Design Intent
2. Use the scan data to extract primitives, curves
or surfaces
3. Use the curves to create Lofts, Extrudes, Cuts,
Surfaces, and other cad functions.
4. Produce the cad file in Pro/ETM,
SolidworksTM, or if you simply want to capture the existing
geometry and reproduce it, output IGES, STEP or STL.
In many cases, a cad file is not needed,
because many changes can be
made directly on the mesh, then sent to a 3D printer for
prototyping.
Whatever the requirement, STL or CAD,
Reverse PartsTM can help streamline the reverse engineering
process by providing quick and accurate models. If you need a
short run of parts made from the model, our network of
prototyping companies can help produce a working prototype.
